The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chronic shoots for a double leg takedown but Kongo sprawls well. He's pushed Chronic's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Kongo cracks Chronic with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Nice defenses there by Chronic.
Chronic shoots in looking for a takedown. Kongo tries to sprawl out of it but Chronic keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kongo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Kongo throws a shot from downtown. Chronic moves away and avoids it.
A head kick misses from Kongo.
Chronic fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Kingo Kongo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dustin Chronic.
Kongo ducks under a wild hook from Chronic.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kongo. Chronic does a little dance to reset his feet.
Kongo misses with an uppercut. Chronic saw that one coming.
Kongo will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
A decent looking cross lands there for Chronic.
Chronic with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Kongo to score with a decent uppercut.

It looks like Dustin Chronic has been cut.

Kongo throws a hook to the side of Chronic's head but Chronic sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Kongo swings for the body but Chronic moves out of range.
Kongo throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Chronic sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Kongo cracks Chronic with an open hand slap.
Kongo defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Chronic.
Chronic throws a leg kick that is checked
and Kongo counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Kongo is looking to slow Chronic down with leg kicks.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kongo lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Chronic looks gassed!
Chronic takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Kongo connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
A chopping leg kick lands by Chronic.
Chronic on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Kongo misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Chronic.

Kongo stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Kongo throws a sloppy head kick and Chronic moves out of range easily.
Crunch! Kongo slams his shin into Chronic's torso.
Chronic is trying desperately to land a takedown but Kongo is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Chronic.
Kongo connects with a crisp jab.

That has opened up Dustin Chronic's cut even more.
A head kick from Kongo lands but Chronic takes it in his stride.

Chronic takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Kongo is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Chronic takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Kongo lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Kongo punishes Chronic's body with a nice straight punch.
Kongo is looking to slow Chronic down with leg kicks.

Kongo connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Kongo lands with a nice body kick.
Kongo throws a head kick that Chronic semi-blocks.
Kongo feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Chronic's calf.
Kongo jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Kongo throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Kongo scores with a push kick.
Chronic's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Chronic takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Dustin Chronic's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Chronic takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Kongo misses with a straight right.
Kongo scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Dustin Chronic's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
