Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Storm Stryder!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Dean Styles and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johnson darts in and clinches Stryder up against the cage.
Stryder is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Johnson jumps into guard, dragging Stryder to the mat.
Johnson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Johnson content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Stryder actively working from the bottom here.
Stryder is trying to stand up here but Johnson is controlling him well.
Stryder on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Stryder looking for subs from the bottom but Johnson mounts him!

Johnson is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Stryder has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Johnson with a couple of short strikes.
Johnson in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Johnson pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Johnson looking for a guillotine from mount but Stryder is having none of it.
Johnson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Stryder tries to improve his position but Johnson has taken his back! Johnson has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Stryder tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Johnson pushes Stryder away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). James Johnson!
