Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Doug Robertson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grizzly Copenhagen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Copenhagen has chosen Faint by Linkin Park as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Doug Robertson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Grizzly Copenhagen! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paulsen Ambrosius and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Copenhagen has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Copenhagen there as he acknowledges the shot.
It looks like Grizzly Copenhagen has been cut. Robertson misses with a straight left. Robertson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
The fighters circling - Robertson throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Copenhagen shoots in for a takedown but Robertson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Copenhagen slips a straight right by Robertson. Copenhagen throws a head kick but Robertson moves out of range.
Robertson throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Robertson tries to clinch up but Copenhagen circles away and keeps his distance. Robertson lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Robertson throws a hook to the side of Copenhagen's head but Copenhagen sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Robertson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Copenhagen manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Copenhagen looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Robertson with a flurry of punches that miss. Robertson thows a big elbow that misses. Robertson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Copenhagen bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Robertson's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Robertson has his feet on Copenhagen's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Copenhagen shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Copenhagen was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Robertson blocking the ground and pound. Copenhagen dominating with strikes here. Robertson wants to hold on but Copenhagen pushes him away. Copenhagen has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Robertson is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Copenhagen unloading with bombs! A nice elbow there by Copenhagen. Copenhagen lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Robertson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Robertson blocking the ground and pound. Copenhagen punching from mount but Robertson doing a good job of avoiding damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Robertson tries to lock up and control but Copenhagen gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Robertson just holding on. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Copenhagen is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Robertson can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Copenhagen avoids the attempt from Robertson to control. Copenhagen lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
The referee warns Robertson that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Robertson wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Copenhagen.
Robertson wants to hold on but Copenhagen pushes him away. Poor strikes thrown by Copenhagen there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Copenhagen landing shots from mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Copenhagen is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Robertson to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Robertson shrugs it off. Robertson is wriggling around trying to escape.
Copenhagen landing strikes from the mount. Copenhagen thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Robertson slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Robertson gets full guard. Robertson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Copenhagen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Robertson swivels though and keeps the full guard. Copenhagen throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Robertson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Copenhagen thows a big elbow that misses. Copenhagen missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Robertson is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Copenhagen wants to pass the guard but Robertson is keeping the position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Robertson connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Robertson tries to close the distance and clinch but Copenhagen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Robertson fails in his attempt to clinch. A telegraphed right hand from Robertson misses the target. Robertson throws a right and a left that both miss. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Grizzly Copenhagen dominated that round. The cut man is working on Grizzly Copenhagen's cut. That's time! Robertson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Robertson thows a body shot but no joy. Copenhagen gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Copenhagen bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Robertson's guard. Copenhagen wants to pass the guard but Robertson is keeping the position. Robertson controlling the position. Robertson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Copenhagen postures up in Robertson's guard and throws a big left but Robertson blocks it. Robertson wants to sweep here but Copenhagen controlling him for the moment. Grizzly Copenhagen has got the better of the ground game so far. Robertson keeping full guard, as Copenhagen tries to pass. Robertson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Copenhagen's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Copenhagen looking for a sweep. Not yet Copenhagen, not yet. Robertson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Copenhagen wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Robertson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Copenhagen's guard. Copenhagen has hold of Robertson's hands but Robertson slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Copenhagen trying to hold on to Robertson's head to control him but Robertson postures up.
Copenhagen won't allow Robertson to pass to mount. Robertson lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Robertson wants to get back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Copenhagen moves into full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Copenhagen is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Copenhagen is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Robertson is controlling him. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Robertson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Copenhagen working a defensive guard here.
Copenhagen has his feet on Robertson's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Some wild striking there from Robertson.
Robertson slaps away a takedown attempt from Copenhagen, before circling back to the center of the mat. Copenhagen keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Robertson. Copenhagen shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Robertson defends it nicely. Robertson is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Robertson circles away from the clinch attempt.

Robertson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The fighters circle momentarily. Robertson darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Robertson swats away the attempt to clinch by Copenhagen. Robertson tries to clinch there but Copenhagen circles away.
Copenhagen takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Copenhagen lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Robertson circles away quickly and effectively. Copenhagen ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Robertson misses with a hook. Copenhagen ducked under it nicely. Robertson wants to clinch. Robertson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Copenhagen swats him away and circles back towards the center. Copenhagen fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Robertson is trying to control the action in half guard but Copenhagen is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Robertson is nestled in close to Copenhagen, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Copenhagen has his hands clasped together around Robertson's back. He's all about the action. Robertson not landing any meaningful shots this time. Robertson sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Copenhagen defending well though. Doug Robertson dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Grizzly Copenhagen's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Robertson pushes Copenhagen off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Copenhagen is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Robertson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A big right from Copenhagen misses. Doug Robertson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Copenhagen scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The ground and pound from Copenhagen seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Copenhagen throws an elbow but Robertson slips to the side and avoids it well. That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Robertson is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Copenhagen is controlling him well. Copenhagen postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Copenhagen tries to clinch up. Copenhagen blocks a jab. Robertson tries to clinch but Copenhagen moves away and Copenhagen counters with a nice double leg into side control. Robertson won't be happy with that. Robertson is not content to let Copenhagen control the position. Robertson tries to bench press Copenhagen off him but Copenhagen keeps the position. Copenhagen is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Robertson has escaped the position, nice work there. Robertson regains half guard, as Copenhagen was trying to land strikes.
And that's the end of the fight! Grizzly Copenhagen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Copenhagen has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
