Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Angola Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruno Davol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bob's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, The Good, The Bad & The Ugly theme. Davol comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Rammstein - Links 2 3 4 kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Angola Bob! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bruno Davol! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Matheus Silva and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bob misses the shot to the body. Davol moves out of range as Bob throws a body kick.
Bob throws a leg kick and Davol counters with a nice double leg into guard. Davol trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Davol wants to control from the top but Bob keeps moving. Davol looking to pass the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Davol is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Davol trying to control the position from guard on top but Bob is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Bruno Davol was stalling too much, according to the referee. Davol misses with a double jab
and Bob counters with a nice low kick that buckles Davol's knee momentarily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Bob throws a right hand that misses
and Davol counters with a good low kick that Bob was not able to check. Bob fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Davol looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Davol misses with a lunging right hand
and Bob counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. A slapping leg kick lands for Bob.
Bob fails in his attempt to clinch. Davol misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Bob counters with a stiff right hand. Bob throws a nice inside leg kick. Davol shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bob tries to lock up and control but Davol gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Davol can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bob is looking to escape. Davol looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Bob is trying desperately to improve position. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Bob is squirming around, avoiding Davol's attempts to control the action. Davol takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Bob can't escape the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bruno Davol dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Davol ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Bob tries to close the distance and clinch but Davol swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Bob looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Davol avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

and Bob counters with a shoot takedown. Davol fights it but they end up in guard. Bob trying to control but Davol is working from the bottom. Bob wants to pass the guard but Davol is keeping the position. Davol bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bob's guard. Davol is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davol drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Davol jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Davol wants to pass the guard but Bob is keeping the position. Davol sitting in guard, not really doing much. Davol slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Davol controls the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Bob tries to bench press Davol off him but Davol keeps the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davol wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bob keeps working.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Bruno Davol. Bob keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Bob misses with a leg kick and Davol counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bob won't be happy with that. Davol tries to move to mount but Bob blocks the move with his legs. Davol trying to control the action but Bob is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bob prevents Davol from improving position. Davol wants to control but Bob is keeping him busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bruno Davol showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

and Bob counters with a slapping leg kick. Davol takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Bob tries to clinch up but Davol circles away and keeps his distance. Davol swings for the body but Bob moves out of range.
Bob goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Davol on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bob is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Davol gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Bob counters with a one-two to the body. Bob throws a hook but Davol blocks it. Bob swats away the attempt to clinch by Davol. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Davol pushes Bob up against the cage in a clinch. Angola Bob has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Bob is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee calls for Davol to work.
Bob misses with a knee to the head. Bob misses with a knee strike.
Davol blocks an elbow strike. Bob misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Davol.
Bob is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Davol is defending well for now. Bob digs a right hand into Davol's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Davol's gas tank. Bob tries to land knees in the clinch but Davol avoids the damage to the body. Bob tries a knee to the head but Davol blocks it.

Bob putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Davol in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Bob missing with knees to the body.
Bob is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Bob lands an elbow just above Davol 's eye. Bob has a couple of punches blocked by Davol.
Davol is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Bob is defending well for now.

Bob unloads a knee to the mid-section. Davol lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Davol looking for a takedown. Angola Bob has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bruno Davol. Davol can't find room to land a body shot as Bob controls the action.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Bob tries to land a body kick and Davol counters with a takedown into side control. Bob is trying to escape the position but Davol is controlling the position. Davol in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Davol wants to control but Bob is keeping him busy. Davol tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Davol looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
And that's the end of the fight! Angola Bob showed his dominance in that final round. I think Davol has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
