Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Andrei Marshall! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Distor Centura! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, John Mangel and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marshall closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Marshall gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
It looks like Distor Centura has been cut. Marshall keeps control of Centura as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Marshall taking a breather. Marshall looking for a takedown. Marshall stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Marshall prevents a takedown attempt there.

Marshall decides to pull guard. Centura won't allow Marshall to sweep him here. Marshall seems keen to control Centura's posture. Marshall being controlled here, momentarily.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Centura doesn't manage to clinch there - Marshall circles away.

Centura fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Marshall sprawls well initially but Centura persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Centura seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Marshall does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Marshall is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Centura pulls his head out easily. Centura throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Marshall is looking to improve his position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Centura with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Centura moves nicely into side control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Centura goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Marshall has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Centura but great work by Marshall. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Andrei Marshall will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Distor Centura's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Centura fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Marshall scores with an uppercut up the middle. Marshall has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Centura clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Marshall lands punches and elbows. Marshall is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Centura defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Marshall scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Centura wants to control his opponent's hands but Marshall gets his hands free. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Marshall lands a shot to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Centura trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Centura tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Marshall avoids the attempt from Centura to control. Marshall unloading with bombs! Centura is looking to improve his position but Marshall isn't that keen on the idea. A nice elbow there by Marshall. Centura throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Marshall lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Marshall jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Centura is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Centura and Marshall has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Centura misses with a takedown and Marshall counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Centura thinking. Marshall is looking to clinch but Centura is avoiding it.
Centura shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Marshall napping and manages to drive through into side control! Centura looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Marshall is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Centura's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Centura controlling the action here. Marshall is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Centura is looking to take a break and control but Marshall is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andrei Marshall dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Distor Centura's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Centura moves into range and clinches up with Marshall. Marshall connects with a nasty looking knee right to Centura's face.
That has opened up Distor Centura's cut even more. Centura wants a takedown.
Marshall tightens his grip and picks Centura up, before dumping him to the ground. Centura manages to land in guard. Marshall loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Centura preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Centura has momentary wrist control but Marshall slips an elbow through the middle. Marshall is fighting to break Centura's control of his arms but Centura is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Centura wants to sweep here but Marshall controlling him for the moment. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Centura wants to stand up but Marshall is controlling him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marshall postures up and lands a big shot to Centura's brow. Centura tries to land a sweep but no joy. Marshall throwing strikes from guard but Centura blocks nicely. Marshall stands up over Centura, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Marshall clinches but Centura breaks the clinch and Centura counters with a head kick. That will keep Marshall thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Marshall is looking to clinch but Centura is avoiding it.
Marshall wants to clinch and Centura connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Centura throws a half hearted mid kick. Marshall shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Centura sprawls well. Centura wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Marshall gets slowly back to his feet. Centura shoots for a takedown but Marshall saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Centura displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Marshall. Centura drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Marshall gets back to half guard. Andrei Marshall overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marshall is looking for a sweep. Centura is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Centura missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Marshall tries to kick Centura off but Centura keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Marshall is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Centura is trying to control the action in half guard but Marshall is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Andrei Marshall is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Marshall wants to get back to full guard. Centura wants to stand up but Marshall is controlling the position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Marshall uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Centura.
Marshall doesn't manage to clinch there - Centura circles away.
Centura misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Andrei Marshall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Distor Centura. Marshall moves into the clinch successfully.
Centura is looking to break free of the clinch but Marshall has double underhooks. Marshall pulls Centura into guard.
Marshall has a closed guard, preventing Centura from standing up. Distor Centura has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Marshall holds on and takes a little breather.
And that's the end of the fight! Andrei Marshall showed his dominance in that final round. Well Marshall has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
