Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Viktor Lagutenko and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Dzugashavili does it's job there.
Dzugashavili tries to clinch but Romanov is having none of it.
Romanov has a takedown stuffed.
Romanov dives in and grabs Dzugashavili's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dzugashavili pushes down on Romanov's head and hops out.
Romanov checks the leg kick nicely there.
Dzugashavili cracks a nice hook into Romanov's ribs.
Dzugashavili wants to clinch.
Dzugashavili tries to bum rush Romanov with a series of wild strikes but Romanov uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Dzugashavili misses with a few strikes there.
Dzugashavili closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Romanov is breathing heavily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Dzugashavili tries to close the distance and clinch up but Romanov swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Romanov takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Dzugashavili motions for Romanov to come forward. Dzugashavili throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Romanov takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Dzugashavili lands with a shot to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dzugashavili throws a left that rocks Romanov and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Dzugashavili dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Romanov regain composure!
Romanov is rocked!
It looks like Valentin Romanov has been cut.
Dzugashavili moves into full mount!
Oh Romanov is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Romanov seems to have got his legs back now.
Dzugashavili is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Romanov can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Dzugashavili can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Romanov is looking to escape.

Dzugashavili wants to take Romanov's back but he can't do it this time.
Romanov is in all sorts of trouble here.

Dzugashavili fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Dzugashavili tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Dzugashavili tries to control but Romanov wriggling away.
The referee warns Romanov that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Dzugashavili pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Dzugashavili loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Romanov scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Dzugashavili land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Dzugashavili stands and salutes the crowd.
