Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Edward Charles Brock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Flako Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Pull Me Under - Dream Theater. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Edward Charles Brock! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Flako Gracie! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Lou da Vinci and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracie swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Gracie rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Brock moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Gracie motions for Brock to come forward. Gracie throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Brock decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Gracie gets full guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Gracie is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Brock drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Gracie manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Brock has Gracie in his guard. Brock working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gracie doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gracie manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Brock has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gracie can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brock is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Gracie is aware though and is defending well. Gracie lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Gracie throwing strikes from guard but Brock blocks nicely.

The fighters roll with the hold and Brock manages to kick Gracie off! Gracie jumps back into Brock's guard. Gracie with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Brock keeping moving, preventing Gracie from controlling successfully. Gracie has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Brock is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Brock can't keep his opponent in guard - Gracie advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Gracie is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Gracie prevents Brock from improving his position. Brock wants to get back to full guard. Brock is working hard here to advance position. Gracie lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Gracie wants to lay and pray for a moment but Brock keeps working.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Gracie is nestled in close to Brock, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Brock looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Gracie performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Gracie is trying to control the action in half guard but Brock is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Gracie trying to mount his opponent but Brock defends it. Gracie passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Brock! Gracie swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Brock is now in Gracie's guard. A big mistake from Gracie there, giving up the dominant position! Brock sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Gracie's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Flako Gracie dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Gracie closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Gracie looks up at the clock and then as Brock takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Gracie smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Gracie wants to lay and pray for a moment but Brock keeps working. Gracie working away. Brock gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Gracie takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Still in half guard, Gracie seems content to control. Brock tries to get to full guard but Gracie has control of the leg. Brock won't allow Gracie to pass to mount. Gracie works his way into full mount! Gracie sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brock regains half guard. Brock is refusing to be controlled, as Gracie sits in half guard. Brock is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Brock moves into full guard.
Gracie thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Gracie trying to control the position from guard on top but Brock is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Gracie drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gracie jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Brock working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Gracie has passed into half guard!
Gracie is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Brock takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Gracie with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.
Brock is squirming around, avoiding Gracie's attempts to control the action. Gracie blocks Brock's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Gracie tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Gracie dominating with strikes here. Brock gets back to half guard. Gracie is looking to take a break and control but Brock is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Flako Gracie has got the better of the ground game so far. Brock is looking for a sweep. Gracie is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Gracie not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Brock looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Gracie seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Brock looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Gracie has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Flako Gracie showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Brock's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!

Brock was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Brock defending well as Gracie loads up on a big left hand. Gracie jabbing away but nothing is landing. A decent looking cross lands there for Gracie. Gracie rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Brock moves out of range and avoids them all easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gracie throws a shot from downtown. Brock moves away and avoids it. Gracie tries to clinch but Brock moves out of range. Gracie misses with a body shot.
Brock shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Gracie makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Gracie drives through with a takedown into guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Gracie passes Brock's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Gracie moves nicely into side control. Brock trying to remain calm as Gracie controls from the top position. Gracie is trying to get an arm triangle but Brock is defending well.

Possibly, maybe, no Gracie has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Brock throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.
Gracie decides to stand back up. Gracie steps back and let's Brock get back to his feet. The fighters circling - Gracie throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Gracie gets caught flat footed, as Brock shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Gracie throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Gracie wants to stand and escape but Brock is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brock wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving. Gracie pushes Brock off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Brock gets a takedown into half guard. Gracie wants to control but Brock is keeping busy and won't allow it. Brock tries to pass the half guard into mount. Gracie knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Brock in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Gracie tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Brock!
