The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nyrkki throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Hawke is trying to break free.
A nice right hand lands inside from Nyrkki.

It looks like Nathan Hawke has been cut.
Hawke lands a left hand that snaps the head of Nyrkki backwards.
Hawke blocks an uppercut.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Nyrkki manages to break the clinch.
Hawke just misses with a punch to the body.
A chopping leg kick lands by Nyrkki.
Nyrkki swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Nyrkki bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Nyrkki looks for the body kick but Hawke saw that one coming.
Hawke lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Nyrkki uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hawke.
Hawke connects with a jab.
Hawke connects with a single shot there.
Nyrkki throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hawke.
Nyrkki keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Mauri Nyrkki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A telegraphed right hand from Nyrkki misses the target.
Nyrkki is looking to clinch.
Hawke lands with a nice combination. Nyrkki backs away looking to recover.

Hawke grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Nyrkki takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Hawke cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
