Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ben Eclipse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Dempsey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ben Eclipse! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Patrick Dempsey! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Donald Grub and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Eclipse shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dempsey pinned against the cage. Dempsey gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Dempsey tries for a takedown but Eclipse circles away easily and Eclipse counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dempsey won't be happy with that. Dempsey is looking to reverse the position. Eclipse tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Eclipse just content to control the position. Eclipse has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Eclipse swats away the attempt to clinch by Dempsey. Eclipse scores with a jab to the jaw.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dempsey blocks the body kick.
Eclipse closes the distance and pushes Dempsey back into the cage. Eclipse breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dempsey looks to clinch and Eclipse counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Eclipse is thwarting Dempsey's attempts to control the position. Dempsey manages to get to full guard.
Dempsey not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Dempsey wants to sweep here but Eclipse controlling him for the moment. Eclipse trying to control the position from guard on top but Dempsey is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Eclipse prevents Dempsey from getting back to his feet.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Eclipse shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dempsey's guard. Dempsey can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Eclipse controls the pace. Eclipse works over Dempsey with some ground and pound from guard. Dempsey wants to sweep but no luck. Dempsey looks gassed! Eclipse looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Dempsey is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Eclipse tries to kick Dempsey off but Dempsey keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Eclipse controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Dempsey is trying to control the action in half guard but Eclipse is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Eclipse is looking to control Dempsey's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Eclipse avoid being mounted? Eclipse tries to get to full guard but Dempsey has control of the leg. Eclipse on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Eclipse tries to get out of the position. Eclipse wants to control but Dempsey is keeping busy and won't allow it. Dempsey not doing much here.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Dempsey tries for a takedown but Eclipse circles away easily and Eclipse decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dempsey's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ben Eclipse dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Eclipse scores with a takedown into Dempsey's guard. Dempsey looking to hit a scissor sweep but Eclipse is one step ahead there. Eclipse wants to stand but Dempsey is controlling his posture from full guard. Dempsey working for a triangle but Eclipse defends it easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Eclipse is stalling in the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dempsey trying to keep a closed guard but Eclipse is proving a slippery customer.
Dempsey is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

He's simply no match for Dempsey on the ground. Dempsey prevents Eclipse from getting back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Eclipse is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Dempsey trying to control the position from guard on top but Eclipse is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dempsey is looking to work some ground and pound but Eclipse has wrist control. Dempsey drops back looking for a leg! Eclipse is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Eclipse manages to kick Dempsey off! Dempsey jumps back into Eclipse's guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Eclipse tries to clinch there but Dempsey circles away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Eclipse throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Dempsey was covering up waiting for the punch and Eclipse finishes the takedown easily into guard. Dempsey trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Eclipse trying to control but Dempsey is working from the bottom. Dempsey being controlled here, momentarily. Eclipse drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Dempsey dives on top into guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Patrick Dempsey will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Eclipse's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Dempsey tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Eclipse prevents Dempsey from improving his position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Eclipse throws a head kick that misses. Eclipse fails with the takedown and Dempsey counters with a single leg into guard. Eclipse didn't expect that.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Eclipse is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Dempsey wants to get up but he can't break Eclipse's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Dempsey stopping the sweep attempt from Eclipse. Eclipse is trying to control the position but Dempsey postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Ben Eclipse overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Eclipse being controlled here, momentarily. Eclipse is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Dempsey misses with a series of wild punches.
Eclipse is looking to clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Patrick Dempsey. I think Dempsey has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
