Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Knatte Grep (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hokkus Pokkus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pokkus has chosen Pantera - Walk as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Hokkus Pokkus is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Knatte Grep! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hokkus Pokkus! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Marco Blurström and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick from Pokkus lands but Grep takes it in his stride. Grep throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pokkus's waist but Pokkus gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Grep off to one side. Grep blocks a leg kick. Grep misses with a hook. Pokkus tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Grep blocks a leg kick. Grep has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Pokkus. Pokkus throws a sloppy head kick and Grep moves out of range easily. Hokkus Pokkus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Grep throws a lazy right hand but Pokkus sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Grep checks a leg kick nicely. Pokkus throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Pokkus avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Pokkus throws a half hearted mid kick. Grep throws a leg kick and Pokkus counters with a nice leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grep moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Pokkus looks for the body kick but Grep saw that one coming. Grep throws a leg kick but Pokkus checks it. Grep throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Grep misses with a leg kick and Pokkus counters with a leg kick. A low kick from Pokkus misses and Grep counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Grep. Grep pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pokkus is keeping the position for now. Pokkus controlling the position. Pokkus keeping full guard, as Grep tries to pass. Pokkus is looking to stand up but Grep isn't so interested in that idea.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Grep wants to pass the guard but Pokkus is keeping the position. Grep passes Pokkus's right leg, so he's now in half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pokkus can do anything to dispel that myth. Pokkus tries to get to full guard but Grep has control of the leg. Grep moves into full mount! Pokkus won't be happy about that! Grep wants to take Pokkus's back here but Pokkus is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Grep goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Pokkus is on top in guard.
Grep wants to sweep here but Pokkus controlling him for the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pokkus looking to pass the guard. Pokkus must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Grep is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Grep controls Pokkus momentarily but Pokkus frees himself. Grep keeping moving, preventing Pokkus from controlling successfully. Grep keeping full guard, as Pokkus tries to pass. Pokkus got a little sloppy there for a moment and Grep has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pokkus has managed to get both his arms back between Grep's legs - danger averted. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Grep has his foot on Pokkus's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pokkus works his way back into a safe position though. Pokkus got a little sloppy there for a moment and Grep has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pokkus has managed to get both his arms back between Grep's legs - danger averted. Pokkus would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Grep is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Pokkus rolls with it to try and escape but Grep cranks on the arm and Pokkus is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
