2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Matt Jones II! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brown fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jones II looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Brown drives through with a takedown into guard. Jones II wriggles free and stands up. Brown takes a swing at Jones II's ribcage but misses. Brown throws a nice looking combination but Jones II bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Brown fails with the takedown. Brown scores with a takedown into Jones II's guard. Brown has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Brown trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Jones II manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Jones II is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Jones II looks gassed! Brown pulls guard. Jones II stands and steps away. Brown gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Brown rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jones II moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Brown lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Jones II hang on? Brown is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Jones II can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Brown changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jones II looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Brown goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Jones II has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Brown but great work by Jones II. Jones II decides to stand up, so the ref orders Brown to his feet. Brown is looking to wear down Jones II with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Jones II tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jones II tries to clinch there but Brown circles away.
