Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tiago Vieira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesus Quintana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Seu Braga and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quintana is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Vieira's half guard.
Quintana wants to work for an arm triangle but Vieira is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Quintana looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Vieira trying to control from the bottom.

Quintana is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Vieira defends it well.
Quintana looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Still in half guard, Quintana seems content to control.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Vieira wants to control but Quintana is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Vieira trying to get back to full guard but Quintana takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Quintana is trying to take his opponent's back.

Quintana is looking to take Vieira's back but instead Vieira gets back to half guard. Nice work.

and Quintana counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Quintana is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Quintana wants to control from the top but Vieira keeps moving.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Jesus Quintana has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Quintana tries to clinch but Vieira moves out of range.

and Vieira counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Quintana's guard now.

Vieira tries to free his leg and advance position but Quintana is retaining full guard.
Quintana looking to hit a scissor sweep but Vieira is one step ahead there.
Quintana working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Vieira doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Vieira manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Quintana pulls Vieira in close to his closed guard and prevents Vieira from doing any damage or advancing position.

Jesus Quintana showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Vieira's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Vieira shoots and misses
and Quintana counters with a nice double leg into side control. Vieira won't be happy with that.

Quintana is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Vieira is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Jesus Quintana has got the better of the ground game so far.
Quintana works to advance to full mount. Vieira defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Vieira defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Quintana.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Jesus Quintana is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Vieira tries to hold on but Quintana postures up.
And that's the end of the fight!
Jesus Quintana comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Quintana has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
