Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Manoel Candelabro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rex Crug (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Candelabro's entrance music is Perfect. A fine choice. The crowd seem to be enjoying Crug's choice of entrance music: Welcome to the jungle. On his way into the cage it seems that Manoel Candelabro has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Manoel Candelabro seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Manoel Candelabro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rex Crug! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Skip Squint and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A looping hook to the body misses from Candelabro. Crug does a little dance to reset his feet. Candelabro drives through with a takedown into guard. Candelabro trying to control the position from guard on top but Crug is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Candelabro drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Candelabro jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Candelabro decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Candelabro fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Crug sprawls well initially but Candelabro persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Candelabro is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Crug defends it well. Candelabro seems to be working for a kimura but Crug defends the submission attempt. Crug is staying active underneath Candelabro, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Candelabro sitting and controlling from the half guard. Candelabro working over Crug with some ground and pound. Crug looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crug is refusing to be controlled, as Candelabro sits in half guard. Candelabro looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Candelabro seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Crug does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Crug really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Candelabro. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Candelabro is really struggling to control Crug but he's trying to hold on to the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Manoel Candelabro wasn't doing enough on the ground. Candelabro looks for a takedown but Crug sprawls well. Crug throws a sloppy body shot
and Candelabro counters with a straight right hand. Candelabro shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Crug as he jumps to the side. Crug takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Crug fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Candelabro is out of range. Candelabro fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Manoel Candelabro. That's going to take a lot out of him. Candelabro decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Candelabro is breathing heavily. Candelabro prevents Crug from standing back up.
Crug pushes Candelabro off and gets back to his feet. Crug jabbing away but nothing is landing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A head kick misses from Crug. Crug displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Candelabro. Crug fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Candelabro. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Crug misses with the combination.
Crug thows a body shot but no joy. Crug throws a sloppy head kick and Candelabro moves out of range easily. Crug moves in looking to clinch but Candelabro pushes him off. Candelabro looks to score with a jab to the body but Crug is just out of range. Candelabro closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Crug is trying to stand back up but Candelabro is controlling him
Candelabro is looking for a kimura but Crug is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Candelabro to get the leverage. Crug tries to get to full guard but Candelabro has control of the leg. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crug has hold of Candelabro's hands but Candelabro slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Candelabro lands with a punch from half guard. Candelabro is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Crug has managed to free his arm - good work. Candelabro is looking to take a break and control but Crug is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Candelabro is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Crug has managed to free his arm - good work. Candelabro is pressing down on Crug's thigh, looking to free his foot. Crug is holding on for now. Crug pushes Candelabro off but Candelabro dives into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Candelabro is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Crug knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Candelabro tries for a kimura but Crug is defending well. Candelabro lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Crug down.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Crug is looking to reverse the position. Candelabro stands up and we're back to a striking position. Crug misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Candelabro changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Crug looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Candelabro really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Candelabro has hold of Crug's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Crug seems comfortable defending it but Candelabro has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Crug is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Crug is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Candelabro couldn't care less - he's delighted!
