The fight stays on the outside here - Verdun looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Verdun stuffs the takedown.

silva tries to bum rush Verdun with a series of wild strikes but Verdun uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Verdun tries a head kick but it misses.
Verdun throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and silva counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
silva is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
silva shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Verdun is trying to defend but silva finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
