Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joey Parks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fu Kyou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Parks's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Undead. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joey Parks! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Fu Kyou! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Hugh Johnson and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parks tries for a takedown but Kyou sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Kyou closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kyou lands in his opponent's guard. Kyou stands and throws Parks's legs to the side, diving into side control. Kyou throwing shots but missing, from side control. Kyou remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Kyou misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Parks is trying to improve his position. Kyou throws a strike aimed at the side of Parks's head but Parks avoids it well. Kyou is staying tight to Parks's torso, preventing him from escaping. Kyou trying to control the action but Parks is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Kyou in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Parks tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kyou swats him away and circles back towards the center. Parks shoots and misses and Kyou counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kyou. Kyou throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Kyou works over Parks with some ground and pound from guard. Kyou slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kyou gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Kyou shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Kyou throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Parks because Kyou loaded up on that one. Parks is working to get back to half guard.
Parks tries to hold on but Kyou pushes him away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kyou with shots to the head and body - Parks looks very uncomfortable down there. Parks is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kyou tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Kyou with a couple of short strikes. Parks avoids a series of strikes thrown by Kyou.
Kyou postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Parks looks a forlorn figure.
Kyou looking to control and managing it successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fu Kyou dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Kyou closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Parks to the mat! Parks manages to get full guard. Kyou makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Parks has momentary wrist control but Kyou slips an elbow through the middle. Kyou loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Kyou controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Kyou tries to free his leg and advance position but Parks is retaining full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kyou trying to control the position from guard on top but Parks is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kyou looking to pass the guard. Kyou is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Kyou landing with the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Kyou postures up in Parks's guard and throws a big left but Parks blocks it. Kyou wants to control from the top but Parks keeps moving. Kyou with a flurry of punches that miss. Kyou trying to control but Parks is working from the bottom. Kyou is looking to work some ground and pound but Parks has wrist control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kyou throws and elbow that misses. Parks uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kyou's guard. Nice move by Parks! Parks stopping the sweep attempt from Kyou. Kyou trying to control the position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Left hook, right uppercut from Kyou. Parks tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Kyou counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Parks is looking for a sweep. Kyou is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Kyou working over Parks with some ground and pound. Parks looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Kyou looks to land a strike but Parks avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Kyou slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Kyou postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fu Kyou showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Parks doesn't succeed with the takedown and Kyou counters with a shoot takedown. Parks fights it but they end up in guard. Kyou looking to pass the guard. Kyou throws a big right hand that misses. Parks can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kyou controls the pace. Parks trying to keep a closed guard but Kyou is proving a slippery customer.
Kyou is looking to stand up but Parks won't let him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kyou working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Fu Kyou has got the better of the ground game so far. Kyou postures up in Parks's guard and throws a big left but Parks blocks it. Kyou controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kyou is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! BOOM! Kyou connects with a massive shot to the dome!

That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A nice elbow there by Kyou. Kyou lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Kyou has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Kyou content just to control the position here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Kyou lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Fu Kyou is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Parks is desperately trying to improve his position but Kyou has a good base and remains in mount.
And that's the end of the fight! Fu Kyou comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Kyou has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
