Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Justin Case (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cedric Steele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Steele's choice of entrance music: Ironman. Justin Case could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Cedric Steele's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Justin Case! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cedric Steele! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Steve Montenegro and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Case throws a leg kick but Steele checks it. Case scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Steele uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Case.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Steele. Steele takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Steele avoids a low kick by using good footwork. A punch combination from Case misses. A head kick misses from Case. Steele takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Steele slips a jab from Case. Left hook, right uppercut from Steele. Case tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Case misses with a takedown attempt - Steele sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Case throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Steele was covering up waiting for the punch and Case finishes the takedown easily into guard. Case working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steele looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Case is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Case wants to control from the top but Steele keeps moving. Case working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Case lands a couple of elbows. Case landing with the ground and pound. Case has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Case advances position into side control! Steele struggling a bit here. Case working the ground and pound from side control. Case working the ground and pound. Case throws an elbow but Steele slips to the side and avoids it well. Case creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Steele sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Case is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Steele knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Case trying to control the action but Steele is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Case working the head with strikes. Steele defending against the ground and pound. Case is looking to take a break and control but Steele is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Case tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Case has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Steele is not content to let Case control the position. Steele is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Case's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Case wants to lay and pray for a moment but Steele keeps working. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Case shoots in and drives through. Steele sprawls well. Case throws a sloppy head kick and Steele moves out of range easily. Case lands a nice looking body shot.

Cedric Steele is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Case gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Steele steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Case. Steele getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Steele lands a lovely overhand right. Steele works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Case throws a series of punches but Steele avoids them all with ease. Steele lands a jab to the nose. A shot to the body from Steele misses and Case counters with a nice uppercut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Steele fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Case on the side of the head. Case shoots for a double leg takedown but Steele sprawls well. He's pushed Case's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Steele lands a jab to the head.

Steele throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Steele moves away from the strike by Case. Steele misses with a wild combination.
Case throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Steele swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Case lands a head kick!
Steele fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Case throws a head kick that Steele semi-blocks.
Case throws a shot from downtown. Steele moves away and avoids it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Steele blocks a jab. A low kick from Steele is predictable there and Case counters with a leg kick. Steele lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Case swinging wildly here.
Case lands with a slapping head kick. Steele stuns Case with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Case ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Steele bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Case displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Steele throws out the jab. Steele throws a leg kick but Case moved away. Steele blocks a head kick by Case.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A jab from Steele finds it's way through Case's defenses. Steele on the wrong end of a nice jab. Case attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Case tries a low kick but Steele avoids it. Steele moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Case is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Steele. Steele ducks right into an uppercut from Case. Case pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Steele lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Steele tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Case was well out of range. Poor timing from Steele. Case lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Case throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Case misses with an uppercut. Steele saw that one coming. Steele tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Steele throws a one two combo.
Steele throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Case goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Case throws a head kick but Steele moves out of range.

Case throws a hook but Steele avoids it easily. Case gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Steele connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Case throws a sloppy head kick and Steele moves out of range easily. Case tries a head kick but it misses.
Case is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Steele. Case throws a leg kick but Steele sees it coming and moves out of range. Case ducks under a wild hook from Steele. Case shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Steele sprawls well. Steele wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Case gets slowly back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. A jab lands there for Steele. Case throws a right and a left that both miss. Case swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Steele counters with a left to the body. Steele getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Case looks to land a left hand but Steele moved out of range nicely. Case throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Case thows a left - swing and a miss! No joy there for Case, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Case tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Case moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. A shot to the liver by Steele. Beautiful body shot. Case walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Steele checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Steele on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Case dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Steele. That did some damage! Justin Case is winning the standup battle so far. Case connects with a solid leg kick. Case lands a really nice looking cross but Steele seems unphased.
Steele throws a nice outside leg kick. Case throws a sloppy head kick and Steele moves out of range easily. Steele dips down and scores with a jab to the body. A big left from Case misses. Steele misses with an uppercut. Steele tries to sprawl but Case drives through with a takedown into half guard. Case wants to pass to mount but Steele is defending the position. Case is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Steele is just riding it out for now. Case eventually gives up the hold. Case working the head and body with strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Steele is trying to control but can't.
Case is pressing down on Steele's thigh, looking to free his foot. Steele is holding on for now. Case not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Cedric Steele has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Steele trying to control here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Steele is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Case pulls his head out easily. Case is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Steele has managed to free his arm - good work. Steele wants to improve his position but Case is controlling well.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Justin Case. Well Case has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
