Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, J Aldo Preuss! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Murilo Ramos! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Luis Engracia and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Preuss is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Ramos tries to clinch up but Preuss circles away and keeps his distance. Preuss moves in looking to clinch but Ramos pushes him off. Preuss is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Ramos changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Preuss looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Preuss wants to control but Ramos postures up. Preuss is looking to reverse the position. Ramos staying calm. Preuss tries to buck Ramos off but Ramos is having none of it. Ramos wants to control but Preuss is keeping him busy. Preuss is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ramos decides to stand back up. Preuss tries to clinch up. Ramos misses with a wild body shot. Preuss closes the distance but Ramos moves to the side and Ramos counters with an outside leg kick.
Ramos scores a takedown into full mount! Preuss on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Preuss tries to get out of the position. Ramos trying to control but Preuss is having none of it. Ramos lands a big shot there that rocks Preuss but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Preuss keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Ramos thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Preuss wants to control but Ramos is having none of it. Ramos pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Preuss can't escape the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Preuss wants to control but Ramos is having none of it. Ramos wants to take his opponent's back but Preuss doesn't allow it. Preuss swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Preuss is working to get back to half guard.
Preuss is breathing heavily. Ramos pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Ramos lands a big shot there that rocks Preuss but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Poor strikes thrown by Ramos there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Ramos breaks from Preuss's wrist control and lands an elbow. Preuss knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ramos on the ground. Ramos blocks Preuss's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Preuss keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Ramos looking to control but Preuss is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Ramos looking to control and managing it successfully. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Murilo Ramos dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
The fight moves into the clinch position. A short right from Preuss. Preuss pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Ramos throws a head kick that misses. Ramos fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Ramos tries to clinch up but Preuss circles away and keeps his distance. Ramos should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Ramos avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Preuss clinches up with Ramos and pushes him back against the cage. A quick uppercut on the inside from Preuss. A shot in the inside from Preuss. Preuss lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Preuss lands a right hand that snaps the head of Ramos backwards. Preuss lands a right hand. Ramos successfully pulls guard.
Ramos is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Preuss throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Preuss stopping the sweep attempt from Ramos. Preuss in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ramos tries to land a sweep but no joy. Ramos is trying to control the position but Preuss postures up. Ramos has a closed guard, preventing Preuss from standing up.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Preuss stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Preuss wants it to stay on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Preuss moves out of range as Ramos strikes. Murilo Ramos is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Preuss closes the distance but Ramos moves to the side and Ramos counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Preuss's guard now. Preuss working for a triangle but Ramos defends it easily.
Ramos stopping the sweep attempt from Preuss. Ramos throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Preuss works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Ramos wants to control from the top but Preuss keeps moving. Ramos works a leg free and moves into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ramos is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Preuss is just riding it out for now. Ramos eventually gives up the hold. Preuss tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Ramos thows a huge punch but Preuss dodges it nicely.
Ramos wants to get back to his feet.
Ramos is looking to take a break and control but Preuss is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Preuss trying to control here.
Preuss is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Preuss throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Preuss tries to clinch up and Ramos counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Preuss is lucky that one didn't land flush. Ramos looks to land a left hand but Preuss moved out of range nicely. Ramos drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Preuss tries to get back to half guard but can't. Preuss on the wrong end of some ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Murilo Ramos showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Preuss tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ramos paws at him with a jab and circles away. Ramos closes the distance and clinches up with Preuss, looking for a takedown. Ramos pushes Preuss against the cage but Preuss circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Preuss darts in trying to clinch and Ramos counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Preuss punching from the bottom.
Ramos slows the pace down in half guard. Preuss is not content to let Ramos control the position. Ramos not doing much here.
Ramos seems to be looking for submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Preuss tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Preuss is trying to control but can't.
Ramos seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Preuss tries to clinch but Ramos is having none of it. Ramos feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Ramos avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Ramos wants to control from the top but Preuss keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Preuss is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Preuss wants to hit a switch here but Ramos passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Preuss there! Ramos sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Preuss is looking to get to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ramos gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

J Aldo Preuss has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Ramos throws a push kick but Preuss slaps the foot to one side. Preuss scores with a jab. Ramos acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Preuss tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ramos paws at him with a jab and circles away. Ramos throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Preuss's head. Preuss tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ramos paws at him with a jab and circles away. Ramos tries to score a power double leg takedown but Preuss sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ramos somewhat. Ramos fails with an attempt to clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! Murilo Ramos comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Ramos winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
