Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Clark Griswold!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jack Johnson!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson throws a series of punches but Griswold avoids them all with ease.
Johnson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Griswold as he jumps to the side.
Johnson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Griswold throws a nice looking combination but Johnson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Johnson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Griswold misses with a jab, cross combination.
Griswold walks into a jab.
Griswold tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Johnson paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Johnson scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Griswold is looking to regain half guard here but Johnson keeps moving and retains side control.

Griswold on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Griswold tries to get out of the position.
Johnson looks up at the clock and then as Griswold takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Johnson smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Johnson throws an elbow but Griswold slips to the side and avoids it well.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Johnson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Clark Griswold has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Johnson.

and Griswold counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Griswold is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Johnson keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Griswold's head.
Griswold utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Johnson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Griswold napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Johnson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Griswold, who protects the arm well.

You can see the frustration on Griswold's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Jack Johnson dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Johnson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Griswold sprawls well. Griswold wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Johnson gets slowly back to his feet.

and Griswold makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Johnson loads up on a big right hand but Griswold slips the punch.
Griswold shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Johnson takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Johnson tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Clark Griswold is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

The referee is keeping an eye on Griswold - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Johnson ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Johnson no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Griswold stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Johnson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Griswold's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Johnson wants to sweep here but Griswold controlling him for the moment.

Clark Griswold showed his dominance in that final round.
