Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Barney Ross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yung Soo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barney Ross could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Yung Soo's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Barney Ross! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Yung Soo! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ross throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Soo tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ross is in Soo's guard. Ross landing some decent shots from guard. Ross stands up over Soo, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Ross wants to pass the guard but Soo is keeping the position. Ross throwing strikes from guard but Soo blocks nicely. Ross throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Soo works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ross sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Soo's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Soo has hold of Ross's hands but Ross slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ross missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Ross winds up and cracks Soo with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Ross throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ross lands strikes from half guard. Ross trying to control the pace. Ross takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Ross is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Ross is taking a breather. Soo says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Soo looks gassed! Ross drops an elbow to the side of Soo's head. Ground and pound from Ross.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ross moves nicely into side control. Ross lands a nice forearm strike. Ross looks up at the clock and then as Soo takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Ross smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Ross is looking to take a break and control but Soo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Ross cracks Soo with a big right hand but Soo just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Ross lands a strong strike to the head of Soo. That's dazed him! Ross looking to finish here. Soo is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Ross lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Barney Ross!
