Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Katsuya Gono (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Baltazar Ramos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Katsuya Gono has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Baltazar Ramos!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gono looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Ramos takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Gono drops his hands momentarily and Ramos takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Gono throws a hook to the side of Ramos's head but Ramos sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Ramos displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Gono throws out the jab.

Gono paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Let's hope that Ramos has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Baltazar Ramos comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Ramos has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
