Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Reed Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alistair Struve (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alistair Struve will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Reed Scott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alistair Struve!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scott misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Struve misses with a jab, cross combination.
Scott doesn't manage to clinch there - Struve circles away.
Scott tries for a takedown but Struve sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Scott shoots in but Struve avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Reed Scott. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Struve slips a straight right by Scott.
Scott closes this distance looking for a takedown but Struve circles away.

It looks like Reed Scott has been cut.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Struve has his hands on Scott's head, controlling the position.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Scott accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Scott stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Struve swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Struve is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Scott is controlling him.

Struve is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Scott slips nicely into half guard.
Struve looks like he's trying to stand up.
Struve is looking for a sweep. Scott is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Struve slips under a jab.
Scott throws a half hearted mid kick.
Struve lands with an overhand left.

Struve shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Scott is breathing heavily.
Struve tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Struve pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Scott tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Struve has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Scott's face.
Scott wants to hold on but Struve pushes him away.
Scott is in all sorts of trouble here.
Scott might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Struve tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Struve working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Struve wants to control the pace but Scott is squirming around nicely.
Struve takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Struve has control of Scott's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Scott regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Scott has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Struve is working away from the top position though.

and Struve counters with a three punch combo that has Scott backing up. Scott nods at Struve to acknowledge the strikes.
Reed Scott is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Struve lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

and Struve counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Struve.

Struve stands and steps away. Scott gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Scott feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Struve throws a series of punches but Scott avoids them all with ease.
Struve is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Reed Scott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Scott is trying to trip Struve. He has hold of a leg but Struve is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Scott persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Alistair Struve comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Struve has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
