The judges for this bout are James Glass, Richard Clark and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ripley tries to bum rush Ferguson jr with a series of wild strikes but Ferguson jr uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Ripley throws a series of punches but Ferguson jr moves out of range.
Ripley misses with a series of wild punches.
Ripley doesn't manage to clinch there - Ferguson jr circles away.
Ferguson jr shoots for a double leg takedown but Ripley sprawls well. He's pushed Ferguson jr's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Ferguson jr takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
It looks like Sean Ferguson jr has been cut.
Ripley fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Ripley lands a left and a right that send Ferguson jr crashing to the mat, dazed. Ripley thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Ripley fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ferguson jr, pushing him back against the cage.

Ripley is trying to push Ferguson jr away but Ferguson jr has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Ripley breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sutton Ripley is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ripley throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Ripley stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ripley wants it to stay on the feet.
Oooooh!!! Ripley has knocked Ferguson jr down with a huge combo! Ripley steps away and waves a wobbly Ferguson jr back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Ferguson jr shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Ferguson jr is breathing heavily.
Ripley really wants to buck Ferguson jr off and get back to his feet.
Ripley somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet!
Ripley throws a right and a left that both miss.
Ripley tries to clinch there but Ferguson jr circles away.
Ripley throws a nice looking combination but Ferguson jr bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Ripley scores with a hook to the body. Ferguson jr takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Ripley has managed to clinch.

Ferguson jr has Ripley pressed against the cage, preventing Ripley from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Ripley gets underhooks to prevent Ferguson jr's takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sean Ferguson jr. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ferguson jr goes for a takedown in the clinch but Ripley prevents it.
