The bell rings for round one and we are underway! arm shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Alexander as he jumps to the side. Alexander misses with a wild combination.

Alexander tries to bum rush arm with a series of wild strikes but arm uses good footwork to avoid the assault. arm with a jab.
It looks like Earl Alexander has been cut. Alexander moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. arm lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Alexander circles away quickly and effectively. Alexander throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Alexander shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in arm's guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Alexander postures up in arm's guard and throws a big left but arm blocks it. Alexander is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Alexander lands a couple of digs. Alexander has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. arm manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. arm has control of Alexander's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Alexander regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Alexander has left one of his arms exposed and arm doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Alexander screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
