Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jethro Sherdog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Allen Whitehead (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Whitehead's choice of entrance music: Hold ya head. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jethro Sherdog! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Allen Whitehead! The judges for this bout are , and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Whitehead fails to land the takedown. Sherdog jabs at Whitehead's body. Sherdog leaves Whitehead with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Sherdog really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Whitehead takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Whitehead tries to keep at a distance but Sherdog has taken the fight into the clinch. The fighters are pressed against the ropes, as the pace of the fight slows. Sherdog wants the takedown. Whitehead is fighting it off but Sherdog persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Whitehead's guard against the ropes. Sherdog passes easily into side control. Nice work. Sherdog working the head and body with strikes. Sherdog is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Whitehead is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Whitehead is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the ropes but Sherdog has just dragged him back down to the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sherdog tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sherdog has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Sherdog landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Sherdog tries for a kimura but Whitehead is defending well. Sherdog is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Whitehead knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Whitehead tries to bench press Sherdog off him but Sherdog keeps the position. Sherdog misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Check out the look on Sherdog's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Sherdog is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Whitehead knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sherdog tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Whitehead prevents Sherdog from moving into mount. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Whitehead gets back to half guard. Whitehead wants to control but Sherdog is keeping busy and won't allow it. Sherdog passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Whitehead! Sherdog stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Whitehead is defended easily by Sherdog. Jethro Sherdog has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Allen Whitehead. Whitehead looks gassed!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sherdog closes the distance and clinches. Sherdog is working for a takedown up against the ropes. He can't get it on this occasion though. Sherdog wants the takedown. Whitehead is fighting it off but Sherdog persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Whitehead's guard against the ropes. Whitehead has momentary wrist control but Sherdog slips an elbow through the middle. Sherdog lands a couple of elbows. Sherdog stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Whitehead swivels though and keeps the full guard. Whitehead looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Sherdog puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Sherdog trying to control from half guard but Whitehead is working away. Sherdog is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Whitehead is staying active underneath Sherdog, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sherdog is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Whitehead wants to get back to full guard. Whitehead is not content to let Sherdog control the position. Sherdog trying to mount his opponent but Whitehead defends it. Sherdog seems to be working for a kimura but Whitehead defends the submission attempt. Sherdog has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Whitehead is looking for a sweep. Sherdog is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Sherdog seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Whitehead is trying to control but can't.
Sherdog trying to control from half guard but Whitehead is working away. Whitehead is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Whitehead missing with punches from the bottom.
That's six minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Sherdog has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Whitehead defend it? Sherdog steps over the head and cranks it - Whitehead is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Sherdog!
