The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sasso fails in his attempt to clinch.
Sasso throws a low kick but Teras avoids it.
Sasso doesn't manage to clinch there - Teras circles away.
Sasso throws a sloppy head kick and Teras moves out of range easily.

Teras manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sasso manages to get himself to full guard.

Sasso fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Teras manages to avoid it.
Sasso tries to clinch up but Teras circles away and keeps his distance.

Teras changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sasso looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Sasso knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Teras on the ground.

Teras tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Teras has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Teras goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Sasso has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Teras but great work by Sasso.

Sasso will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Teras manages to work his way to half guard, despite Sasso's best efforts.

Sasso is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Teras is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Sasso is keen to just control but Teras is a slippery customer.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Teras gets back to full guard.
Sasso won't allow Teras to sweep him here.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Teras is on top in guard.
Teras stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sasso swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Aleksi Teras showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Teras moves out of range of the leg kick from Sasso.
Sasso just misses with a punch to the body.
Teras feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
