4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kuume Lohineva! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lohineva bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Lohineva is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. AppleSkillett knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Lohineva taking a breather here. That's one minute gone in the round. Lohineva thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. AppleSkillett is keen to just control but Lohineva is a slippery customer. Lohineva is looking to control AppleSkillett's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Lohineva avoid being mounted? That's four minutes gone in the round. AppleSkillett scores with a one two! Lohineva had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
It looks like Kuume Lohineva has been cut. Lohineva shoots in but AppleSkillett avoids the takedown attempt easily. AppleSkillett lands a jab-cross combination. AppleSkillett clobbers Lohineva with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Lohineva ducks right into an uppercut from AppleSkillett. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. AppleSkillett throws a series of punches but Lohineva avoids them all with ease. AppleSkillett lands a lovely overhand right. AppleSkillett fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Lohineva to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Lohineva looks to clinch but AppleSkillett throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Lohineva taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
