Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Moser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chris Johnson looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jeff Moser!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Moser fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Johnson, pushing him back against the cage.
Johnson misses with a hook to the ribs.
Moser fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Moser is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Johnson can't fight it off and eventually Moser manages to take the fight to the floor. Johnson looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Moser trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Johnson striking off his back but it's not causing Moser any problems.
Moser working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Johnson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Moser controls the pace.
Johnson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Moser is controlling him.
Moser has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Johnson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Johnson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Moser is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Johnson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Moser's back instead.

Moser covering up well under a barage of strikes.
Johnson is breathing heavily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Johnson gets his hands free as Moser looks to control.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Johnson's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Moser is in bad spot here.
Moser prevents Johnson from getting a body triangle.
Johnson doesn't have the hooks in and Moser manages to turn into his guard.
Moser content to stall in guard here.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Johnson throws a body kick that misses.
Moser fails with an attempt to clinch.

Moser scores a takedown into full mount!
Moser controlling from the full mount.
Johnson is trying to reverse the position but instead Moser has taken his back - oops!
Moser keeps control of the position easily here as Johnson tries to buck him off.
Johnson rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Johnson is trying to stand back up but Moser is controlling him

Moser is looking for a kimura but Johnson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Moser to get the leverage.

Johnson kicks off Moser and gets to his feet.
Moser throws a head kick that misses.
Some wild striking there from Johnson.
Johnson lands with a kick to the ribs.
Johnson shoots and misses

so Moser counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Moser is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Moser wants to pass the guard but Johnson is keeping the position.
Moser is stalling in the full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jeff Moser dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!



Moser fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Johnson sprawls well initially but Moser persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Johnson trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Moser content just to control the position here.
Moser landing punches.


It looks like Chris Johnson has been cut.
Moser connects with a couple of good shots from mount.


Johnson is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Moser breaks from Johnson's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Oh Johnson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!


Chris Johnson's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Chris Johnson's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
