PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Geoffrey King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Numbah Baller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Baller has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Numbah Baller enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Geoffrey King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Numbah Baller!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Bruno Hogan and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King misses with a body kick.
Baller looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
The fight stays on the outside here - King looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

King shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Baller's guard.
King pushes down on Baller's leg and manages to get into half guard.

King is looking for a kimura here.
King passes the guard and advances to mount!
You get the feeling that Baller really doesn't like being in this position too much.
King with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.

King working for a guillotine from mount but Baller is in no mood to give up.
Baller keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
King trying to control but Baller is having none of it.

King has hold of Baller's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Baller manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

King is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Baller is defending well though. King let's go of the attempt for now.

King is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Baller has managed to escape the submission attempt.

King has hold of Baller's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Baller manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

King is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Baller is surviving well by controlling King's body position as best he can.

The referee warns Baller that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

and King counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by King.

King passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Baller!

King jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Baller manages to avoid the submission attempt.

King wants to lay and pray for a moment but Baller keeps working.

King working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

King is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Baller has escaped the position, nice work there.

King has hold of Baller's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Baller seems comfortable defending it but King has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Baller is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Baller is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but King couldn't care less - he's delighted!
