Mendez misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A nice combination there by Spaso.
Spaso lands with a nice combination. Mendez backs away looking to recover.
Mendez tries to clinch there but Spaso circles away.
Spaso moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Mendez is rocked!
Spaso throws a right hand that Mendez ducks under and follows up with a left that Mendez also avoids with ease.
Oh Mendez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Spaso throws a nice looking combination but Mendez bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Mendez seems to have got his legs back now.
Mendez tries to close the distance and clinch but Spaso swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Mendez shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Spaso sprawls well. Spaso wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mendez gets slowly back to his feet.
An inside leg kick lands from Spaso.
Mike Spaso seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Spaso lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Mendez can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Spaso and Mendez drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Spaso.
