Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Keijo Lerppa!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Matti Vanhoillinen and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Lerppa.
Lerppa closes the distance and clinches up with Tays, looking for a takedown. Lerppa pushes Tays against the cage but Tays circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Keijo Lerppa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tays slaps away a takedown attempt from Lerppa, before circling back to the center of the mat.
John Tays has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Keijo Lerppa.

Tays fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lerppa manages to avoid it.
Lerppa shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Lerppa stops Tays from getting back to his feet.
Lerppa looks to land a strike but Tays avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Lerppa drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Tays dives on top into guard.

Tays escapes and gets back to his feet.
Lerppa shoots in for a takedown but Tays shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Lerppa walks into a jab.
The crowd cheers as Tays lands an impressive looking overhand right. Lerppa doesn't seem phased though.
Tays moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Tays connects with a stiff jab that staggers Lerppa - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
