The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Svoboda lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Kanuuna at a distance.
Kanuuna goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Svoboda throws a shot to the body.
Svoboda connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Kanuuna throws a chopping leg kick but Svoboda manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Svoboda might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Kanuuna kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Kanuuna got a little sloppy there for a moment and Svoboda has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kanuuna has managed to get both his arms back between Svoboda's legs - danger averted.

Svoboda isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Kanuuna stacks Svoboda on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Kanuuna!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
