Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jim Kent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabe Logan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kent comes into the arena with BLUNT- "The Iron Maiden" blaring out of the sound system. Jim Kent has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jim Kent! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gabe Logan! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Nard Betker and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Logan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kent swats him away and circles back towards the center. Kent takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Logan fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Logan closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kent circles away. Gabe Logan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Logan tries to close the distance and clinch but Kent swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Logan looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Jim Kent has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gabe Logan. Logan turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Kent keeps the fight on the outside.

Logan shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Kent counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Logan! Logan holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Kent tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Kent lands a big shot there that rocks Logan but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Kent tries to move to mount but Logan blocks the move with his legs. The strikes coming from Kent are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Sloppy strikes there by Kent. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kent is trying to get an arm triangle but Logan is defending well. Kent landing strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Logan closes the distance but Kent moves to the side and Kent counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kent. Kentis looking to pass into half guard but Logan pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Logan is in guard. Kent wants to sweep but no luck. Logan content to stall in guard here. Kent tries to land a sweep but no joy. Kent bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Logan's guard. Kent trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Logan manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Logan wanted to stand there but Kent had control of the position. Kent has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's one minute gone in the round. Logan tries to free his leg and advance position but Kent is retaining full guard. Kent looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Logan trying to control the position from guard on top but Kent is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Logan looking to pass the guard. Kent lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Logan! Kent looking to ground and pound but Logan is blocking nicely. Kent trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Kent wants to finish this one by submission but Logan is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Kent. Kent goes for an armbar but Logan turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Logan. Kent wants to sweep here but Logan controlling him for the moment. Logan in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Logan wants to control from the top but Kent keeps moving. Kent looking to hit a scissor sweep but Logan is one step ahead there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kent has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Logan has passed into side control.
Logan has knee on belly and moves into mount. Kent is desperately trying to improve his position but Logan has a good base and remains in mount. Kent sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Kent wants to get back to full guard. Kent is working hard here to advance position. Logan wants to free his trapped foot but Kent is holding on for dear life with his legs. Kent is looking to improve his position.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Logan trying to control the position from guard on top but Kent is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kent looking for a sweep. Not yet Kent, not yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kent takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Kent looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Logan is fending him off so far but Kent persists. Nope, Logan circles away and we're back to standing. Logan clinches but Kent breaks the clinch and Kent counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Logan has hold of Kent's hands but Kent slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Logan looks like he's trying to stand up.
Kent is looking for a kimura here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kent is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Logan is just riding it out for now. Kent eventually gives up the hold. Kent trying to mount his opponent but Logan defends it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kent is looking for a kimura here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Kent wants to lay and pray for a moment but Logan keeps working. Kent sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Logan defending well though. Kent not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Kent missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Jim Kent overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Kent is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Logan to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.

He's being very persistent here but Logan manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Kent is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Logan pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kent is keeping the position for now. Logan postures up in Kent's guard and throws a big left but Kent blocks it. Kent is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kent is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Logan reverses the position - he's now on top in Kent's guard. Kent manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Logan manages to get himself to full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Jim Kent showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kent, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
