Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between BB Esko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Santana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santana comes into a darkened arena with his song building. manly euro techno kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! BB Esko has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, BB Esko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Carlos Santana! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Saam Ante and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A momentary lapse in concentration from Esko enables Santana to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Esko manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Santana trying to control but Esko is working from the bottom. Esko wants to stand and escape but Santana is having none of it. Santana advances position into side control! Santana is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Esko is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Santana has just dragged him back down to the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Santana controls the position. Santana decides to take the fight back to the feet. Santana changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Esko tries to avoid it but Santana manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Esko to the ground. Esko escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Esko leaves Santana with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Santana throws a series of punches but Esko moves out of range. Santana checks the leg kick. Santana throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Esko's waist but Esko gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Santana off to one side. BB Esko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlos Santana.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Esko connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Santana tries to score a power double leg takedown but Esko sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Santana somewhat. Santana will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Santana dives in and grabs Esko's left leg, looking for a takedown. Esko pushes down on Santana's head and hops out. Santana fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Santana looks gassed! Esko connects with a leg kick. Santana looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Santana takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A head kick misses from Esko. Santana shoots in but no luck this time. Santana is looking to clinch but Esko is avoiding it.
Santana shoots in for a takedown but Esko shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Esko moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Esko swings away with a leg kick that misses. Esko throws a head kick but Santana moves out of range.

BB Esko is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Santana looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Esko is fending him off so far but Santana persists. Nope, Esko circles away and we're back to standing. Esko attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Esko misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. An inside leg kick lands from Esko. Esko connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Esko throws a leg kick but Santana sees it coming and moves out of range. Esko stuffs the takedown attempt from Santana. Santana gets slowly back to his feet. Esko lands a big head kick that sends Santana tumbling to the mat! Esko takes a step backwards and waves Santana back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Carlos Santana has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Esko throws a low kick, looking for Santana's leg but Santana calmly moves out of range. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Esko throws a head kick that misses. Esko throws a body kick that misses. Esko pivots, looking for a leg kick but Santana is out of range and Esko settles back down. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
BB Esko dominated that round. The cut man is working on Carlos Santana's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Santana misses with a takedown attempt - Esko sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Esko throws a front kick aimed at Santana's knee but Santana avoids it well. Santana checks a leg kick nicely. Esko slaps away a takedown attempt from Santana, before circling back to the center of the mat. Esko misses with a head kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Santana shoots in for a takedown but Esko shows good takedown defense. BB Esko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlos Santana. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Santana is defended easily by Esko. Santana is breathing heavily. Esko tries a head kick but it misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Santana misses with a straight right. Esko lands a big head kick that sends Santana tumbling to the mat! Esko takes a step backwards and waves Santana back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Santana is rocked! Esko defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Santana. Esko finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Santana shoots in for a takedown but Esko shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Esko plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Santana is still on wobbly legs! Can Esko finish him? Santana just misses with a punch to the body.
Santana seems to have recovered his senses. Esko pulls out of a head kick attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A good leg kick by Esko. Santana avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Esko lands a leg kick that knocks Santana off balance momentarily. Santana blocks a head kick by Esko.
BB Esko is winning the standup battle so far. Esko is looking to land body kicks. Esko throws a head kick but Santana moves out of range.
That kick from Esko tenderised Santana's leg. Santana is trying to keep his angry face on. Carlos Santana is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. No luck for Santana with that takedown attempt. Santana tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

A head kick misses from Esko. Esko misses with a leg kick. Esko walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Santana checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Esko throws a low kick but Santana moves out of range easily. Esko throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Esko leaves Santana with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Santana on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Santana shoots in for a takedown but Esko shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Esko misses with a low kick.

Santana looks for a takedown but Esko sprawls well. Esko thumps Santana with a low kick. Esko fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Santana is out of range. Carlos Santana seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Esko throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Santana. Horrible takedown by Santana or perhaps it was just good defense by Esko which made him look bad. Santana tries to clinch there but Esko circles away.

Esko throws a leg kick but Santana sees it coming and moves out of range. Esko throws a sloppy head kick and Santana moves out of range easily. Esko keeps the fight on the outside. Esko stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Esko wants it to stay on the feet. Esko throws a leg kick which misses Santana's front leg but catches the back leg as Santana tries to avoid it. That kick from Esko tenderised Santana's leg. Santana is trying to keep his angry face on. Esko pulls out of a head kick attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round. Esko pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Esko misses with a low kick.
Esko is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Santana can do to turn this around? Santana changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Esko looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Santana working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Santana tries to stand but Esko is controlling his head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Santana looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Esko wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Santana tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Santana throwing shots but missing, from side control. Carlos Santana has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Santana trying to control the action but Esko is working from the bottom. Santana tries for a kimura but Esko is defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Santana throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Santana thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Santana tries to advance to mount but can't.
And that's the end of the fight! BB Esko showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Esko, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
