Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Day Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Reams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man comes to the cage accompanied by Dayman Remix. Reams has chosen Orgasmatron as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Reams throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Reams throws a hook but Man avoids it easily.
Reams throws a shot from downtown. Man moves away and avoids it.
Man displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Reams.
Man looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Reams closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Reams trying to pass the guard but Man defending well.
Reams is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Man avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Reams.
Reams misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Reams tries to score with some ground and pound. Man controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Reams is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Man is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Reams throws a strike aimed at the side of Man's head but Man avoids it well.

Reams connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Man some visible discomfort.
Reams tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Man is breathing heavily.

Reams cracks Man with a big right hand but Man just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Reams creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Man sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Reams is looking to take a break and control but Man is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Reams lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Man throws a low kick but it's checked well by Reams.
Reams shoots in for a double leg but Man sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Man throws a head kick that misses.
Man displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Reams throws out the jab.
Reams connects with a looping right hand.
Man throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Tim Reams seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Reams fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Man sprawls well initially but Reams persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Man is trying to stand up here but Reams is controlling him well.
Reams is nestled in close to Man, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Man keeping moving, preventing Reams from controlling successfully.
Man looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Reams tries to free his leg and advance position but Man is retaining full guard.
Man is trying to keep Reams in close.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Reams connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Reams misses with a takedown attempt - Man sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Tim Reams showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Man steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Reams.
Reams dives in and grabs Man's left leg, looking for a takedown. Man pushes down on Reams's head and hops out.
Man tries a head kick but it misses.
Man uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Reams.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Man.
No luck for Reams with that takedown attempt.
Day Man has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tim Reams.

Reams fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Reams shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Man napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Man pushes Reams away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Reams gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Reams takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Man is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Man knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Reams on the ground.

Man is not content to let Reams control the position.
The strikes coming from Reams are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Man tries to bench press Reams off him but Reams keeps the position.
Reams looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Man is avoiding damage well.
Reams creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Man sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Reams working the body and head with strikes.
Tim Reams is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Reams controlling the position from side mount.
Let's hope that Reams has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Man tries to improve position but can't.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Tim Reams hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Reams blocks a head kick by Man.
Man slaps away a takedown attempt from Reams, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Reams just misses with a punch to the body.
Reams shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Man but Man pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Day Man has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Reams shoots for a double leg takedown but Man sprawls well. He's pushed Reams's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Reams avoids the head kick by Man.
Man pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Reams.
Reams closes the distance and clinches up with Man, looking for a takedown. Reams pushes Man against the cage but Man circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Man uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Reams.
Good leg kick by Man there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Man stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Man wants it to stay on the feet.
A head kick misses from Man.
Reams closes this distance looking for a takedown but Man circles away.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Man throws a head kick that Reams semi-blocks.
Reams doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Man counters with a slapping leg kick.

And that's the end of the fight!
Day Man showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Reams has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
