Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between bruno bruno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hiho Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hiho Silva is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Leandro Rodrigues and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva throws a head kick but bruno moves out of range.
Silva is on the wrong end of a nice combination from bruno.
It looks like Hiho Silva has been cut.
Silva shoots in for a takedown but bruno shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Silva throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around bruno's waist but bruno gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Silva off to one side.
bruno shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Silva manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Silva is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. bruno is aware though and is defending well.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
bruno slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Silva escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. bruno gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Silva has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but bruno can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

bruno drops back, looking for a kneebar! Silva looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Silva looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Silva!

bruno knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Silva on the ground.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
bruno tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Silva.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and bruno counters with a one-two to the body.
bruno closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Silva did well to prevent bruno getting side control.
Silva makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Silva.
Silva throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
bruno has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Silva wants to sweep here but bruno controlling him for the moment.
bruno has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Silva is proving hard to escape from.

bruno on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if bruno tries to get out of the position.

Silva drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Silva as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! bruno screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Silva! Nice submission victory there!
