Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Seppo Taalasmaa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ozric Mortimer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mortimer.
Mortimer tries to close the distance and clinch but Taalasmaa swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Taalasmaa scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Taalasmaa wants to control but Mortimer is keeping him busy.
Taalasmaa decides to stand up, so the ref orders Mortimer to his feet.

and Mortimer counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Mortimer.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Taalasmaa is on top in guard.
Mortimer is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Mortimer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Taalasmaa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That was a close round but I would say that Seppo Taalasmaa will probably get the nod.

Taalasmaa really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Taalasmaa bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Taalasmaa pushes Mortimer up against the cage in a clinch.
Taalasmaa tries to score a body lock takedown but Mortimer shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Mortimer has Taalasmaa pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Taalasmaa manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Mortimer has hold of one of Taalasmaa's legs. Taalasmaa is fighting the takedown attempt but Mortimer gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Taalasmaa jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Mortimer is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Mortimer and Taalasmaa has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Taalasmaa is working to tighten is grip on Mortimer's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Mortimer has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Taalasmaa is really squeezing tight and eventually Mortimer passes out! Taalasmaa breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
