The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cro op uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from da Silva.

A looping hook to the body misses from Cro op. da Silva does a little dance to reset his feet.

da Silva shoots for a double leg takedown but Cro op sprawls well. He's pushed da Silva's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

da Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cro op paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Cro op slaps away a takedown attempt from da Silva, before circling back to the center of the mat.
da Silva has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Cro op.

Cro op connects with a solid leg kick.
da Silva takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

da Silva is trying desperately to land a takedown but Cro op is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for da Silva.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

da Silva with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Cro op to score with a decent uppercut.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
