Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hawk Price (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Price comes to the cage accompanied by Behind Closed Doors - Rise Against. Miller has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Jason Miller has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Hawk Price's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hawk Price!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jason Miller!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Winston Howard and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Price takes one to the chin there.
Miller looks to land a left hand but Price moved out of range nicely.
Jason Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Miller misses with a hook.

Price darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Price is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Price is trying to control. Miller wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Price is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Miller looks gassed!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Price throwing strikes here but Miller is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Price controlling the position easily from mount.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Price cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Price looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Price in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

Price is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Miller can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Price looking for a guillotine from mount but Miller is having none of it.
Price wants to control the pace but Miller is squirming around nicely.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Price jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Miller is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Miller and Price has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Price wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Miller, who protects the arm well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Miller is not content to let Price control the position.

Price thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Price trying to control the action but Miller is working from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hawk Price dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Miller throws a looping overhand right but Price ducks down to avoid it.
Price displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Miller throws out the jab.

Price shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Price moves nicely into side control.

Price thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Miller is breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Price is working to tighten is grip on Miller's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Miller has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Price is really squeezing tight and eventually Miller passes out! Price breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
