Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between joe blow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Lauzon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). joe blow had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.1lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lauzon slips a jab and a cross from blow.
Lauzon throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
blow shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lauzon but Lauzon pushes him off and we're back to square one.

blow shoots in for a takedown but Lauzon shows good takedown defense.
Lauzon tests blow's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Sloppy strikes from blow. Those never looked like landing.
blow tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lauzon sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten blow somewhat.

Lauzon waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract blow. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped blow to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

Lauzon drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lauzon jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
blow knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lauzon on the ground.
Lauzon passes easily into side control. Nice work.
blow is letting Lauzon control him for a moment.

Let's hope that Lauzon has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Lauzon is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but blow is surviving well by controlling Lauzon's body position as best he can.

Lauzon is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. blow can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Lauzon wants to finish this one by submission but blow is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Lauzon.
