Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Seth Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marcus Taylor!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hughes wants to clinch up but Taylor keeps it at a distance.
Hughes pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hughes looks to score with a jab to the body but Taylor is just out of range.

Taylor swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hughes looks for a takedown but Taylor sprawls well.
Hughes ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Taylor loads up on a big right hand but Hughes slips the punch.
Hughes fails with an attempt to clinch.
Hughes thuds his right hand into Taylor's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Hughes avoids the head kick by Taylor.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hughes takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Taylor misses with a hook. Hughes ducked under it nicely.

Hughes shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Hughes looks up at the clock and then as Taylor takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Hughes smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Hughes misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Taylor tries to escape but Hughes is in control.
Taylor takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Hughes tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Hughes tries for a kimura but Taylor is defending well.
Taylor wants to get back to his feet but Hughes drags him back down.
Hughes creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Taylor sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Hughes lands some shots froms side control.
Hughes in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Taylor on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Taylor is not content to let Hughes control the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Taylor on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Hughes scores with a shoulder strike.
Taylor is trying to push Hughes away but Hughes has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Hughes lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Taylor breaks from the clinch.
Hughes cracks Taylor with a right hand to the side of the head.
Taylor throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hughes slips a jab from Taylor.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Taylor throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hughes.
Hughes avoids a punch combination nicely.
Marcus Taylor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hughes changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Taylor tries to avoid it but Hughes manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Taylor to the ground. Taylor escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Marcus Taylor comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
