Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Valio Hristov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuu Nigeshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chuu Nigeshi has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Valio Hristov's chin.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chuu Nigeshi! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some wild striking there from Hristov.
A big right from Hristov misses. Hristov looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Nigeshi keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Nigeshi falls off balance throwing a combination
and Hristov counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. A left and a right from Hristov both land. Nice combination. Nigeshi wants to slow Hristov down by chopping away at his legs. Hristov fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Nigeshi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hristov sprawls well. Hristov wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Nigeshi gets slowly back to his feet. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Hristov!

and Nigeshi counters by moving into the clinch. Nigeshi has Hristov pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Nigeshi pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Hristov tumbling to the mat - Nigeshi dives into Hristov's guard. Nigeshi seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Hristov working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Nigeshi.

Nigeshi makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Nigeshi working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Hristov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nigeshi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Nigeshi wants to control from the top but Hristov keeps moving.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hristov being controlled here, momentarily. Nigeshi throwing strikes from guard but Hristov blocks nicely. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Nigeshi postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Nigeshi wants to control from the top but Hristov keeps moving. Nigeshi missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Nigeshi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hristov swivels though and keeps the full guard. Nigeshi postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Nigeshi postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Nigeshi content to stall in guard here. Nigeshi connects with a couple of short punches. Hristov avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Nigeshi in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Nigeshi thows a big elbow that misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Valio Hristov will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Hristov throws a combination that misses and Nigeshi holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Nigeshi goes for a takedown attempt but Hristov pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

and Nigeshi counters by moving into the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hristov looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Nigeshi lands with a short head shot on the inside. Hristov wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nigeshi gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Nigeshi trying to control the action but Hristov is working from the bottom. Hristov avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Nigeshi. Nigeshi trying to pass the guard but Hristov defending well. Nigeshi is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Hristov has hold of Nigeshi's hands but Nigeshi slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Nigeshi lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Nigeshi is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Nigeshi landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. The fighters are battling for position here. Hristov manages to regain full guard. Nice work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nigeshi scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Hristov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nigeshi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Nigeshi pushing down on Hristov's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Nigeshi lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Nigeshi thows a huge punch but Hristov dodges it nicely.
Hristov has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Nigeshi is working away from the top position though. Nigeshi is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hristov defends it well. Hristov is staying active underneath Nigeshi, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Nigeshi drops an elbow to the side of Hristov's head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Nigeshi is trying to work for a kimura but Hristov is defending well.

Hristov is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chuu Nigeshi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Hristov moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Hristov throws a predictable looking body shot
and Nigeshi counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Hristov! Nigeshi landing strikes, looking to finish! Chuu Nigeshi has got the better of the ground game so far. Nigeshi with a couple of short strikes. Nigeshi lands a big elbow. Nigeshi is in the full mount, landing strikes. The referee warns Hristov that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Hristov is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nigeshi wants to control the pace but Hristov is squirming around nicely. Hristov is in a horrible position here. Nigeshi smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Oh Hristov is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Hristov tries to get back to half guard but can't. Hristov seems to have got his legs back now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nigeshi cracks Hristov with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Nigeshi scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Hristov bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Hristov won't allow Nigeshi to sweep him here. Hristov postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Nigeshi controls Hristov momentarily but Hristov frees himself. Hristov is pushing down on Nigeshi's leg trying to pass to half guard. Nigeshi is fighting to maintain full guard but Hristov has managed to sneak the leg through. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Nigeshi can do anything to dispel that myth. Nigeshi gets full guard. Nigeshi manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
