Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mickey Goldmill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nolan Sackett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sackett comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Bad To the Bone kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mickey Goldmill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nolan Sackett!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sackett keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sackett keeps the fight on the outside.
Goldmill displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Sackett throws out the jab.
Mickey Goldmill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sackett's corner calls for a 1-2. Sackett obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.


It looks like Mickey Goldmill has been cut.
Goldmill takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Goldmill throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Sackett connects with a nice looking jab.
Sackett fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Goldmill manages to avoid it.
Goldmill thows a left - swing and a miss!
Sackett takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Goldmill misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Goldmill scores with a shot to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sackett throws a chopping leg kick but Goldmill manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Sackett tries to score a power double leg takedown but Goldmill sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sackett somewhat.
Goldmill swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Sackett.
Sackett misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A punch combination from Goldmill misses.

Goldmill closes the distance and clinches.
Goldmill prevents the takedown attempt.
Mickey Goldmill has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nolan Sackett.

Sackett blocking some punches.
Sackett has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Goldmill avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Sackett connects with a nice short shot to Goldmill's temple.
Sackett wants to pass to mount but Goldmill is defending the position.
Goldmill knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sackett on the ground.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sackett tries to pass the half guard into mount. Goldmill knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Sackett has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Goldmill wants to stand but Sackett is controlling the position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Sackett passes into half guard.
Sackett is nestled in close to Goldmill, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Sackett lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Goldmill is trying to stand up here but Sackett is controlling him well.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Sackett lands a nice short elbow.
Goldmill tries to kick Sackett off but Sackett keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Sackett thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Goldmill's head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Goldmill is refusing to be controlled, as Sackett sits in half guard.
Sackett takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nolan Sackett dominated that round.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Sackett drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Sackett throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Sackett is looking to take a break and control but Goldmill is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Sackett tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Sackett controls the position.
Sackett looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Goldmill is avoiding damage well.
Sackett is trying to ground and pound but Goldmill uses the momentary lack of control by Sackett to regain half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Goldmill won't allow Sackett to pass to mount.
Sackett passes the guard and advances to mount!
Goldmill is bucking up trying to escape but Sackett cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Sackett thowing shots but they're missing.
Sackett is in the full mount, landing strikes.
A big strike lands for Sackett! That's really hurt Goldmill and he's turned his back - Sackett keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Sackett jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:03 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nolan Sackett!
