Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jordan Rice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Parker's choice of entrance music: Undead. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jordan Rice! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joe Parker! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Skip Squint and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parker looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Rice lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Parker! Rice avoids the attempt from Parker to control. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Rice cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Rice tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Rice lands a big shot there that rocks Parker but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Rice looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rice controlling the pace for now. BOOM! Rice connects with a massive shot to the dome!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rice controlling from mount. Parker takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rice controlling the position easily from mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Parker wants to control but Rice is having none of it. Rice looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Jordan Rice just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Parker shoots for a double leg takedown but Rice sprawls well. He's pushed Parker's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Rice tries to close the distance and clinch but Parker swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Rice misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Parker.
Parker fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rice avoids it really well and circles away. Horrible takedown by Parker or perhaps it was just good defense by Rice which made him look bad. Jordan Rice has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Parker. Rice drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jordan Rice dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Rice misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Parker.
Rice closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Rice lands in his opponent's guard. Rice looking to pass the guard. Rice trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Parker trying to keep a closed guard but Rice is proving a slippery customer.

That's one minute gone in the round. Parker isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Rice stacks Parker on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Rice! Parker is working to avoid the ground and pound but Rice connects with a decent elbow. Rice decides to take the fight back to the feet. Joe Parker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rice gets a takedown into half guard. Rice controlling the pace. Parker is breathing heavily. Rice is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Parker sees it coming and defends easily. Rice controlling the pace.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rice throwing shots but Parker is blocking nicely. Rice wants to work for an arm triangle but Parker is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Still in half guard, Rice seems content to control. Parker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rice. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Parker wants to control but Rice is keeping busy and won't allow it. Rice stops Parker from getting back to his feet.
Rice is controlling the pace.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Rice stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Parker to get to his feet. Parker clinches but Rice breaks the clinch and Rice counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Rice is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Parker sees it coming and defends easily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rice seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Parker does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jordan Rice dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Parker has his takedown stuffed and Rice counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Parker can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Rice controls the pace. Rice slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Rice taking a breather here. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jordan Rice. Parker fails with the takedown and Rice counters with a takedown into side control. Rice decides to stand back up. Rice steps back and let's Parker get back to his feet. Parker misses with a takedown and Rice counters with a takedown into side control. Jordan Rice has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Parker. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rice decides to stand up, so the ref orders Parker to his feet. Jordan Rice is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Parker closes the distance and clinches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rice jumps guard but Parker stands there with Rice around his waist. Rice gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Rice looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Rice seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Parker won't allow Rice to pass to mount. Parker is not content to let Rice control the position. Rice tries to pass to full mount but Parker defends it. Parker is looking for a sweep. Rice is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Rice seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Rice scoring with strikes to the body and head. Joe Parker has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Rice works his foot free and advances to mount. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Parker is desperately trying to improve his position but Rice has a good base and remains in mount.
And that's the end of the fight! Jordan Rice showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rice, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
