Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Davey Newsome (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Davey Newsome! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Lou da Vinci and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Newsome is looking to clinch but Coleman is avoiding it.
Coleman swats away the attempt to clinch by Newsome. Newsome slips a jab and a cross from Coleman.
Newsome doesn't manage to clinch there - Coleman circles away.
Newsome clinches up against the cage. Newsome blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Coleman is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Coleman pushes Newsome back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Coleman is looking to control Newsome's arms but Newsome gets an underhook and turns him. Now Coleman has his back to the cage. Coleman manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Newsome. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Newsome works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Newsome stands up over Coleman, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. and Newsome connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Newsome closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Coleman. Coleman wants to stall.

Coleman tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Coleman digs a right hand underneath Newsome's ribcage. Newsome let out a lung full of air as it connected. Come on Coleman - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Newsome's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Newsome breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

And that's the end of the fight! Davey Newsome comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Newsome has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
