Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Seth Rodd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Flippin Fighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rodd comes to the cage accompanied by Gloria Gaynor - I Will Survive. Fighter has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Seth Rodd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Flippin Fighter!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Franklyn Lucas and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rodd feints and as Fighter raises his hands in defense, Rodd changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Rodd pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Fighter is keeping the position for now.
Fighter looks gassed!
Rodd content to stall in guard here.

Rodd drops back looking for a leg! Fighter is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Fighter manages to kick Rodd off! Rodd jumps back into Fighter's guard.

Rodd drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Fighter manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Rodd has Fighter in his guard.

Fighter avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Rodd looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Rodd is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Rodd looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Fighter trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Fighter trying to control but Rodd is working from the bottom.
Rodd is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Rodd wants to sweep but no luck.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Rodd is looking to clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rodd shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Rodd was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Fighter is trying to escape the mount.

Rodd is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Fighter to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Fighter shrugs it off.
Rodd wants to control the pace but Fighter is squirming around nicely.
Fighter tries to lock up and control but Rodd gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Rodd is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Fighter is surviving well by controlling Rodd's body position as best he can.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Fighter reaches up to try and control the position but Rodd seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Fighter rolls and tries to escape and now Rodd has his back!

Rodd has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Fighter trying to control the hands but Rodd breaks the grip.

Rodd has got his arm under Fighter's chin working for the choke… has he got it? It looks pretty tight! Oh! Fighter has spun round into Rodd's guard beautifully! Well done that man!

Rodd is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Fighter not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Rodd has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Fighter can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rodd moves into full mount! Fighter won't be happy about that!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Rodd goes for an armbar but Fighter turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Fighter.

Fighter passes into half guard.

Fighter is looking to take a break and control but Rodd is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Rodd tries to get to full guard but Fighter has control of the leg.
Fighter is trying to control the action in half guard but Rodd is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are battling for position here. Rodd manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Fighter wants to control from the top but Rodd keeps moving.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Fighter passes Rodd's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Fighter is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Rodd looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Flippin Fighter has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Seth Rodd is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Rodd is not content to let Fighter control the position.
