Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Roy Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edvin Wasa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wasa is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: .. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roy Brown! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Edvin Wasa! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Lou da Vinci and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wasa looks to land a right hand but Brown moved out of range. A looping hook to the body misses from Wasa. Brown does a little dance to reset his feet. Wasa is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Brown. Brown doesn't manage to clinch there - Wasa circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brown checks a leg kick. Brown wants to clinch up but Wasa keeps it at a distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wasa lunges at Brown with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Brown's hand. A nice leg kick lands there from Wasa. The fight stays on the outside here - Brown looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Brown shoots for a double leg takedown but Wasa sprawls well. He's pushed Brown's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Wasa swats away the attempt to clinch by Brown. Brown takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Brown tries to close the distance and clinch but Wasa swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Brown moves out of range of the strikes. Brown tries to clinch there but Wasa circles away.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Brown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roy Brown. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wasa throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Brown showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Wasa.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Wasa throws a right and a left that both miss. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Edvin Wasa dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Brown tries to clinch but Wasa moves out of range. Brown is looking to take this fight into the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wasa throws a shot to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brown misses with a takedown attempt - Wasa sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Brown tries to move into range but Wasa moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Brown shoots in but Wasa avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. A leg kick checked by Brown. Wasa throws a big shot that misses. Roy Brown is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A jab from Wasa misses. Wasa circles away from the clinch attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brown throws a chopping leg kick but Wasa manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Wasa rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Brown moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Brown walks into a straight right hand from Wasa. Brown gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Wasa.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Brown moves in looking to clinch but Wasa pushes him off. Brown tries to clinch up but Wasa circles away and keeps his distance. Wasa throws a right hand that Brown ducks under and follows up with a left that Brown also avoids with ease. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Brown tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Edvin Wasa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Wasa gets caught flat footed, as Brown shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Wasa utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Brown is looking to work some ground and pound but Wasa has wrist control. Brown throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Wasa works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Brown tries to free his leg and advance position but Wasa is retaining full guard. Brown is looking to work some ground and pound but Wasa has wrist control. Wasa pushes Brown off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. A low kick from Wasa is predictable there and Brown counters with a takedown into side control. Brown has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wasa regains half guard, as Brown was trying to land strikes. Brown wants to work for an arm triangle but Wasa is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Wasa taking some punishment here, with Brown in his half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wasa can do anything to dispel that myth. Brown is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Brown is trying to work for a kimura but Wasa is defending well.
Brown with the ground and pound but Wasa uses the opportunity to regain guard. Brown postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Brown stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wasa swivels though and keeps the full guard. Brown has gone for a leg lock! Wasa slips out almost immediately though and dives into Brown's guard. Wasa postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brown wants to sweep but no luck. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brown is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Wasa defends well. Brown working for submissions but it's allowed Wasa to get to half guard.

Brown is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Wasa's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Wasa's back!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Brown working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Brown looking to break Wasa's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Wasa remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Brown will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Brown is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Wasa defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Wasa is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

And that's the end of the fight! Roy Brown showed his dominance in that final round. I think Wasa has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
