The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
map gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows peterson to score an easy takedown into full guard.
peterson trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but map manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
peterson wants to sweep but no luck.
map tries to stand but peterson is controlling from the bottom.
peterson has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes map off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
map tests peterson's chin there with a solid looking shot.
No joy there for peterson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

peterson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent map stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

peterson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. peterson showed some decent athleticism there.
