Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Angel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Redemption. Michael Angel has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Angel throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Jones tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Angel is in Jones's guard.

Jones has hold of Angel's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Angel manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Jones moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Angel has worked his arm free - good work by Angel!

Jones is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Angel is just riding it out for now. Jones eventually gives up the hold.

Jones seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Angel does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Jones is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Angel defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Jones shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Angel's guard.
