Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aplesan Essen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and jimmy the fist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). jimmy the fist has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Aplesan Essen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, jimmy the fist! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Ackerman and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! the fist throws a jab when Essen was well out of range. the fist stuffs the takedown. Essen tries to close the distance and clinch but the fist swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. the fist shoots in and bounces Essen off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. the fist is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. the fist wants to control from the top but Essen keeps moving. the fist throwing strikes from guard but Essen blocks nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Essen keeping moving, preventing the fist from controlling successfully. Essen tries to land a sweep but no joy. Essen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for the fist on the ground. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as the fist accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. the fist is looking to stand up but Essen won't let him. the fist throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. the fist throws a big right hand that misses. the fist pushes down on Essen's leg and manages to get into half guard. the fist tries to pass to full mount but Essen defends it. the fist decides to return to a standing position. the fist swings and misses with a hook to the body.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Essen has a hand on the fist's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. the fist takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Essen is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. the fist throws a good cross that connects.
Essen closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Essen lands in his opponent's guard. the fist avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Essen prevents the fist from getting back to his feet. Essen is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. the fist uses the cage to get back to his feet.
the fist lands a right hook to the body.
No joy there for the fist, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
the fist has his takedown stuffed and Essen counters with a lovely straight right hand! Essen misses with a takedown and Essen takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's one minute gone in the round. the fist bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. the fist decides to stand back up. the fist steps back and let's Essen get back to his feet. the fist with a poor takedown and Essen counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Essen. Essen throws a big right hand that misses. Essen keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of the fist's head. the fist is breathing heavily. Essen throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. the fist wriggles free and stands up. Essen closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. the fist did well to prevent Essen getting side control. This has been an exciting period of action! The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Essen lands a nice short elbow. the fist won't allow Essen to pass to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. the fist wants to get back to his feet.
the fist regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Essen. the fist is looking to stand up but Essen isn't so interested in that idea. Essen trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Essen postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. the fist wants to get back to his feet but Essen is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Essen postures up in the fist's guard and throws a big left but the fist blocks it. Essen thows a big elbow that misses. Essen scoring with punches to the head and body. Essen stands up over the fist, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Essen working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if the fist can do anything to dispel that myth. Essen with a nice head shot there. Essen landing some decent shots from guard.
the fist is rocked! Essen landing some decent shots from guard. the fist is still in real trouble! Can Essen finish him? Essen loads up on a big left hand. the fist felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Essen looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! the fist can't hide his disappointment, as Essen celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Aplesan Essen!
