Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Rogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chase Striker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Striker has chosen Yeah Ya Know- T.I. as his entrance music. Rogan has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Joe Rogan has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joe Rogan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chase Striker!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Hirohito Nitta and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Rogan does no damage.
Rogan stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Striker.
Rogan is breathing heavily.
Striker is looking to clinch.
Striker throws a nice inside leg kick.
Striker lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rogan circles away quickly and effectively.
Joe Rogan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Striker wants to clinch.
Striker looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rogan is fending him off so far but Striker persists. Nope, Rogan circles away and we're back to standing.
Striker fails with a takedown attempt.

Striker clinches up with Rogan and pushes him back against the cage.

Striker manages to pull guard.
Striker not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Striker has Rogan pulled in close to control his posture.

Striker pushes Rogan off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Joe Rogan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Striker lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Striker shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Striker is taking a breather. Rogan says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Striker is trying to control the action in half guard but Rogan is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Chase Striker.
Striker looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rogan is fending him off so far but Striker persists. Nope, Rogan circles away and we're back to standing.
Joe Rogan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chase Striker.

Striker closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Rogan did well to prevent Striker getting side control.

Striker wants to take a breather but Rogan is having none of it.

Striker moves into full mount! Rogan won't be happy about that!

Striker fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Striker controlling the pace for now.
Rogan avoids a series of strikes thrown by Striker.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chase Striker dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Horrible takedown by Striker or perhaps it was just good defense by Rogan which made him look bad.
Striker tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Rogan cracks Striker with a good jab.
Striker shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Striker closes the distance and clinches up with Rogan, looking for a takedown. Striker pushes Rogan against the cage but Rogan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

No joy there for Rogan, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Striker shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rogan sprawls well. Rogan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Striker gets slowly back to his feet.
Rogan connects with a good right hand that stumbles Striker. Striker circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Striker tries to close the distance and clinch but Rogan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Rogan comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Striker shoots for a double leg takedown but Rogan sprawls well. He's pushed Striker's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Striker takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Striker uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rogan.
Rogan keeps the fight on the outside.
Striker fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rogan avoids it really well and circles away.
Striker tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rogan swivels and escapes.

Rogan jabs Striker right on the nose. Striker blinks but takes it well.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Rogan fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Striker has closed the distance and engaged Rogan in a clinch.

Rogan prevents a takedown attempt there.

Rogan jumps into guard, dragging Striker to the mat.

Striker pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rogan is keeping the position for now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Striker accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Striker gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Striker tries to clinch up but Rogan circles away and keeps his distance.
Striker displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Rogan throws out the jab.

Rogan throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Striker fails with the takedown.
Striker dives in and grabs Rogan's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rogan pushes down on Striker's head and hops out.

Rogan takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Rogan throws a series of punches but Striker moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Striker counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Rogan is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Rogan avoids a punch combination nicely.
Striker tries to clinch there but Rogan circles away.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Striker shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rogan as he jumps to the side.

Rogan gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Striker to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Rogan is looking to stand up but Striker isn't so interested in that idea.

Rogan can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Striker controls the pace.

Striker thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Rogan on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Rogan tries to get out of the position.
Striker passes into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Striker passes the guard and advances to mount!
Rogan is bucking up trying to escape but Striker cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Striker looking to control and managing it successfully.
Striker is trying to take his opponent's back.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Rogan is squirming around, avoiding Striker's attempts to control the action.

And that's the end of the fight!
Chase Striker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Striker has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
